All low frequency inverters require a transformer, compared to other types of transformers, our single-phase inverters typically use a toroidal transformer. So what are the benefits of using a toroidal transformer?

1. Low loss, high efficiency, no air gap in the iron core, the pile coefficient can reach more than 95 percent , the magnetic permeability of the iron core can reach 1.51.8T (the laminated core can only be 1.21.4T), and the electrical efficiency is as high as More than 95 percent , the no-load current is only 10 percent of the laminated type. Using a toroidal transformer can improve the inverter efficiency of the inverter.

2. Small size and light weight. Toroidal transformers weigh only half the weight of laminated transformers. As long as the cross-sectional area of the core is equal, the toroidal transformer can easily change the aspect ratio of the core, and the external dimensions can be designed to meet the requirements. Using a toroidal transformer can make the inverter lighter and easier to carry.

3. The toroidal core has no air gap, and the electromagnetic noise and electromagnetic interference of the toroidal transformer are smaller than those of the traditional transformer.

4. Low vibration and noise. The toroidal transformer core has no air gap, which reduces the noise caused by the induced vibration of the core. The windings are tightly and evenly wrapped around the toroidal core, effectively reducing the hum caused by magnetostriction. Using a toroidal transformer can reduce the operating noise of the inverter.

5. Low working temperature. The iron loss of the toroidal transformer is small, the temperature rise of the iron core is low, and the heat dissipation of the winding at a lower temperature of the iron core is good, so the temperature rise of the transformer is low.
